Blackest heart, whitest soul
At this very moment, I’m skipping through clips of Tekkonkinkreet and feeling glad to be an anime blogger. This is hard to describe, but it conceives the kind of emotion worth trying to share. That’s why I’m typing this right now, it’s that driving responsibility pulling at my soul, as if it’s my personal mission to tell all who will listen that here is a great film. I’m not sure why Tekkonkinkreet affects me with such strong passion, but I remember a remark Hige made on my other blog about how we often seem attracted to depictions of dystopia, as if that romance stems from our familiarity with the nearest concrete jungle. Regardless, I own the DVD, the manga and, without a shadow of doubt, it’s a story I’ll always treasure. Please enjoy the AMV I’ve attached.
